Great Day
Well today was a oppositional follow up to yesterday.
First of all, it was the first warm day of spring.
*alert sexist pig comment coming*
I’ll love this damn because most of the hot college girls (who make up a good portion of the female population her) decide to shed the prisons which have held the semi-exhibitionist tendencies at bay, walk around Oakland in revealing clothing. Hey at least I can Look, if not Touch.
-The big news is that I think may interview went really well today. I say that not as an indication that I think I got the job, but that I managed not to fuck up anything major. I’m horrible at first impressions, I do much better when I’ve established a baseline reporte. This is now the job I want. Should know by end of this week, beginning of next.
-As a added bonus, I had my first deep conversation in I don’t know when (Maybe back to the early days of Katie? Certainly it was the first on IN PERSON in a very long time. We touched on all my favorite issues Sex/Drugs/Religion (namely allowing the first two and relegate the last into it’s proper place in people’s private lives and outside of governance. I have awesome friends, in case I don’t say that enough.
Today wasn’t all good:
-I have some bitching to do about a fence, but I’ll wait and see if it’s an actual problem
- I’m way behind on work, with no catch up in sight
- I was repeatedly reminded of the things that aren’t in my life that I want there to be (ok, just one thing)
-I’m now almost certain I’m getting a cold (I often get these half ass colds that never fully develop, but the pressure in my sinuses, a mildly sore throat, and what may well be a fever tell me otherwise , just great.
Here’s hoping the “may cause drowsiness” warning on the bennadryl I took is correct
I promise, I’ll try and do a serious post this weekend (which will be a php fun fest)
