Things which went wrong today

Only have a few minutes as I should finish some work.
Things which went wrong today:
-I bought 8 pints of milk at the Union as is my custom every week (due to an overabundence of block scrip), while putting away said milk, one of said pints broke open spewing milk all over my room. (My attempts to get the milk soak bag to the garbage only served to spread the milk.) Grr for shotty package.
-True to their word, the company I wanted to work for let me know "soon." As it turns out they are keeping their old intern and not hiring anyone new. I totally understand their reasoning but one would think that they could have made the decision before posting the opening and sending it out to every cs major at pitt. (Yes, the job posting is still up on their website).
My consolation was their remark that I was "exceptionally qualified" and should have no trouble finding another internship. This of course sent me on a frantic search (I had only applied for one other position) I managed to send out 4 resumes(and hack together 2 cover letters therefor). As it happens one place is doing their interviews this week and it looks like I'll get one.

-Just as one friend crisis is stablizing, I get a call from a dear friend of mine who's also in crisis. And there's absolutely nothing I can do to help. I hate that. I love my close friends so much and I hate when shit happens to them. Cripples hate to feel helpless (this one does anyway). Aw, well such is the price of caring.
